What This Product Does

The CSV‑7210 is a dual‑display DisplayPort™ KVM (Keyboard, Video, Mouse) switch, designed to control two computers using:

  • One keyboard
  • One mouse
  • One microphone and audio output
  • Two displays, connected via DisplayPort™ or HDMI™

It supports high‑resolution video output up to 4096 × 2160 @ 60Hz on both displays, depending on the connected source systems and displays.

Only one computer is active at a time.


Important Display Capability Notice

The CSV‑7210 supports:

  • DisplayPort™ 1.4 input
  • DisplayPort™ or HDMI™ output
  • Video resolutions up to 4K@60Hz per display

Actual resolution, refresh rate, HDR support, and color depth depend on:

  • The graphics capability of the connected computers
  • DisplayPort™ or HDMI™ version supported by the source
  • Connected display capabilities

The KVM switch does not convert, scale, or enhance video signals.

Switching Methods

The active computer can be switched using:

  • Front‑panel selection button
  • IR remote control
  • Automatic detection when USB connections change (depending on configuration)

The corresponding PC1 or PC2 LED indicator shows the currently active system.

 


    Front Panel Overview

  • Power Button
    Turns the unit on or off.

  • Power Indicator LED
    Lights up when external power is connected and the unit is active.

  • Input Selection Buttons and LEDs
    Indicate which computer (PC1 or PC2) is currently selected.
    LEDs may flash during automatic switching modes.

  • IR Receiver and IR EXT Port
    Support direct remote control and optional IR extender.

  • Audio Ports

    • 3.5 mm microphone input
    • 3.5 mm stereo audio output

  • USB Gen1 Ports
    For keyboard, mouse, and USB peripherals such as printers or storage devices.


    Rear Panel Overview

  • USB Ports
    Connect keyboard and mouse.

  • Audio Ports
    Connect microphone and audio amplifier or speakers.

  • Display Outputs

    • DisplayPort™ Out
    • HDMI™ Out

  • PC1 / PC2 Inputs

    • DisplayPort™ input
    • USB‑B input
    • Microphone input
    • Audio output input

  • DC Power Input
    Connect the supplied 5 V power adapter.


Connection Instructions

  1. Connect the USB‑B, DisplayPort™, and audio cables from PC1 to the corresponding PC1 input ports on the CSV‑7210.
  2. Connect the same set of cables from PC2 to the PC2 input ports.
  3. Connect one or two displays to the DisplayPort™ and/or HDMI™ output ports.
  4. Connect keyboard and mouse to the USB ports on the KVM switch.
  5. Connect speakers and microphone if required.
  6. Connect the 5 V power adapter to the DC input and power on the unit.

Power and Operation Notes

  • External power is required for normal operation.
  • The unit is hot‑pluggable for USB devices.
  • Switching does not affect the power state of the connected computers.

System Compatibility Notes

  • Compatible with systems providing DisplayPort™ output
  • Supported operating systems include Windows
  • Display behavior is limited by the connected host systems and GPUs

Ready for Use

Once all connections are completed and the unit is powered, the CSV‑7210 is ready for operation.

You can now switch between two computers and control them using a single set of peripherals and dual high‑resolution displays.

Common Questions

Can both computers be used at the same time?
No. Only one computer is active at any time.

Does the KVM switch increase display resolution or refresh rate?
No. Display performance depends on the connected computers and monitors.

Is external power required?
Yes. The KVM switch requires the supplied 5 V power adapter to operate.

Can I use HDMI™ and DisplayPort™ at the same time?
Yes. Display output can be connected using DisplayPort™ or HDMI™, depending on your setup.
