What This Product Does

The CSV‑1581 is a Thunderbolt™ 4 certified docking station designed to expand a single Thunderbolt™ connection into multiple high‑speed ports.

It supports data transfer and video output at up to 40 Gbps, allowing connection of external displays, USB devices, storage, network, and audio peripherals while providing smart power delivery to the host system.

The docking station supports:

  • One external display up to 8K@30Hz, or
  • Two external displays up to 4K@60Hz,
    depending on host system capabilities.

Important Compatibility Notice

Display performance, including resolution, refresh rate, and number of supported displays, is limited by the host system, graphics controller, operating system, and connected displays.

The docking station does not override host system limitations.

Apple macOS systems support Single‑Stream Transport (SST) only.
Dual‑display support on macOS requires systems with M1 Pro or M1 Max processors.
This behavior is expected and does not indicate a product defect.

Display Behavior Summary

  • Supports single 8K@30Hz or dual 4K@60Hz display configurations
  • Display behavior depends on host system and operating system support
  • The docking station does not convert or enhance source display capabilities

Ready for Use

Once powered and connected, the CSV‑1581 docking station is ready for use.
